Practice Nurses.
Our practice nurses are registered nurses (RNs), with Bachelor of Nursing Degrees and are registered with the Nursing Council of New Zealand. They are often the team members who triage (prioritise) acute medical problems and may be able to sort out a problem over the phone or in person, organise a test, form or prescription, or arrange an appointment with the right practitioner. They play a key role in educating you and your whānau about your hauora (health and wellbeing).
The nurses are able to provide the following: Immunisations for children and adults, Cervical screening, Wound care, Diabetes care, Healthy lifestyle advice, Smoking and vaping cessation, ACC , IV treatments, Routine injections (e.g. B12), Pregnancy testing, Blood tests, Gender affirming care and Travel vaccines

RN Prescriber, Community Health Scope for: Contraception and STI treatment, Skin, ear and throat infections, Paracetamol and ibuprofen, Repeat prescriptions for asthma inhalers, eczema creams.
Donna is also a youth health nurse who can assess and advise on young people’s health.
